About the Red Hat Society

The Red Hat Society is a social organization for women
over 50.
It was inspired by the poem, Warning, by Jenny Joseph
which begins
“When I am an old woman I shall wear purple with a
red hat that doesn't go and doesn't suit me.”
The Society was founded in 1998 by Sue Ellen Cooper
of Fullerton, California and there are currently over
1 million members world wide.
Red Hat Society members belong to Chapters,
each having their own
“Queen Mother” or “Queen Mum” and usually a
“Vice Queen” or “Vice Queen Mum”.

Red Hat Fashions 4 U carries officially licensed
Red Hat Society products, red hats, feather boas,
red hat gifts, accessories, and just about everything
needed for Red Hat Ladies to have FUN!

Red Hat Fashions 4 U provided 5
of our red “Carmen Hats”
for The Red Hat Society’s musical, Hats!
The New Musical for the Rest of Your Life.
